Student Committee

The IPPW organising committee strongly welcomes students and young professionals to join the workshop and the short course. IPPW is a great opportunity for deepening knowledge, broadening your horizon and to get involved with the experts from this field.
Workshop contributions from students are very much encouraged and plenty of student submissions are usually found amongst both oral and poster presentations.

During IPPW special events are organised for attending students. At the student development luncheon, students get the opportunity to improve their professional skills. Moreover a special get together for the students is arranged at the end of the short course.

To enable students to join this unique workshop a limited number of student scholarships are available to help defray the costs of participating in the workshop and short course.

Students Scholarship Application

Student scholarships cover expenses related to workshop attendance, up to a maximum level. Funds spent beyond the stated award must be covered by other sources. Travel reimbursements will be awarded competitively based on a student's proposed level of participation in the workshop (paper presentation, poster presentation, or attendance only) and a letter of recommendation from the student's research advisor. Priority will be given to those students who are presenting material and submitting a paper at the workshop.

Due to different sponsor requirements, the application process for students studying in the United States is coordinated separately from that for remaining students. Also, note that restrictions may apply on the eligible countries of citizenship for a scholarship, depending on the available funding sources. For information on the application process for your region, please see the appropriate section below.
These scholarships are made available by the generous support of our sponsoring organizations.

Accommodation

The Hague offers plenty of housing options apart from the conference venue. Moreover the city has a good public transport system and also pedestrian infrastructure. Note that a number of more economical nearby hotels have been identified on the 'Venue' tab.
Further, we strongly encourage students to consider also housing opportunities in hostels in the Hague. http://www.hostelworld.com is a good website to look for this.
The Hague is a clean and safe location and housing standards are very high in the Netherlands.
